Had a wonderful time at High Knob. The trails are awesome and plenty of beautiful scenic sites big and small to ride to and view. Just returned from a weeks stay and had plenty of options each day to choose from as far as riding. JoJo is a great host and lady helped us each and every day. Very accommodating my horse after day 3 came up lame with a stone bruise and JoJo rounded up her own critters for me to ride the remainder of the week. I was very very appreciative of her doing that for me. The people at camp are very friendly and the camp has everything you need. Be sure to make it for morning coffee whether you drink coffee or not and talk to JoJo and the locals, fun to listen and converse with them on what is going on in the area even though I live 10 hours away. :) All and all great experience and will surely be making plans to go back. Loved the riding and accommodations. Thank you JoJo, the staff, and the locals for a great time.

I just spent 8 days at HighKnob campsite. I've stayed at 3 others sites in Shawnee National Forest, Highknob is by far the most accommodating for large groups as ours was. My horse was having some respiratory issue and couldn't finish a ride. JoJo personally brought a trailer and rescued us. I thought my trip was over and I'd be heading home. But JoJo offered me her personal horse to ride for the rest of the week. Stormy was an amazing trail horse, he took good care of me and lead us home when we were unsure. I can't thank JoJo and her crew enough. Great vacation, good memories. Thank you again JoJo and your crew for going above and beyond.

Just wanted to comment on High Knob Campground. I have been to other campgrounds and by far High Knob is the best facility facility and the cleanest campground that I have stayed at. They have all of the amenities of home, they even have a coin washer and dryer that I used. We rented a big trailer with two bedrooms and also a round pen for our horses. Her staff brought the pens in and put them right next to our trailer. They even provided us with a hose to give our horses water so that we didn't have to haul our water. When we arrived, JoJo personally took us to our campsite. The trailer was clean and ready for us to settle in. JoJo and her staff was so kind and considerate. The sites on the trails were breathtaking. We stayed 9 days and when they were up, I didn't want to leave. Had a fantastic time. I plan visit again next year.
